About The Bionic Foundation
B.I.O.N.I.C. Foundation Inc. (Believe It or Not, I Care) was founded in 2013 by Sherman Johnson, driven by his deep passion for supporting the homeless, incarcerated individuals, and at-risk youth. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive community resource, Mr. Johnson established a faith-based organization dedicated to providing practical services, inspiration, and empowerment.
The Foundation’s early initiatives included teaming up with other organizations to host concerts and special events. These events served as platforms for spreading the gospel, sharing public information about career opportunities, and promoting access to public assistance programs. By creating a space for education and connection, B.I.O.N.I.C. sought to inspire individuals and help them access the resources they need to thrive.
In 2021, the Foundation expanded its efforts by launching the BIONIC Summer Camp. This program offers a unique combination of academic enrichment, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, mental health support, sports, and Bible study, all designed to foster the development of well-rounded young people. The camp encourages youth to engage with their communities, develop leadership skills, and gain confidence for a brighter future.
